Pick up time is between 4:15 to 4:30 a.m. You will travel in our transport to Mollepata Village (2 hours approximately) which is located in the lush valley of the Apurimac River. You will have a light breakfast then you will continue your journey towards Soraypampa (3900msnm) (1-1.5 hour approximately by car). You will then start the trek which takes anywhere between 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes (depending on your speed). The hike itself is challenging and steep at times and ends in Humantay lake which is located at 4200mt or 13779 feet.

For this part of your trek, you can rent a horse to get to the lake if you prefer. After a 1 hour (approx) visit to enjoy the view and take photos, you will hike back down to the starting point and then return to mollepata for lunch. You will then take our transportation back to Cusco with the drop-off point in Plaza San Francisco.
